Tenor Ilker Arcayürek headlines BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Gala

A gala concert will be held in place of the 2025 competition, which will return in 2027 following renovations of St David's Hall in Cardiff

Among those performing includes Danielle de Niese, soprano Natalya Romaniw who represented Wales in the 2009 competition and reached the Song Prize Final, mezzo-soprano Catriona Morison, Swedish mezzo-soprano Katarina Karnéus, Turkish-Austrian tenor Ilker Arcayürek, Ukrainian baritone Andrei Bondarenko and Ryan Vaughan Davies.

Ilker joined LEF for their Midsummer concert in Derry in June 2025 - we were extremely happy to host him!
